KARGIL: With Love, To My Hero

He marches up the hills
With unmatched skills and lapses sudden,
Towards his death, Towards his martyrdom
Showing courage and carrying burden.

: A burden of hope, A burden of aggression
A burden to defend it's mother's apprehension
From the first ray till the twilight - He fights on;
Performing his duty, Compelling his right.

With a mission to save dignity of countrymen crores,
A blend of Green & brown he adores,
And then a tinge of Red he pours,
There ends his pain, There ends his chores.

He leaves his family, He leaves his love;
He leaves their hopes, He leaves their dreams:
Gathered all these days and all these years
He leaves them stranded, He leaves them in tears.

But then he doesnt mind, he doesn't care;
With pain in his eyes and hunger to protect
His country, his land: He marches on with words
'Face me if you dare!'

He dies for a stranger;
That is you, That is me
The day he stands tall, The day he plans
He becomes a saviour, He becomes a MAN:
And to him is my salute, For him is my prayer
